August 24, 6:30pm-8:00pm: Human Resources Strategy and Planning Utilizing Porter’s Five Forces




Human resources professionals will learn the importance of integrating human resources planning and strategic planning. It is important for company executives and human resources management to work together for organizational strategic and HR planning purposes. Dr. Michael Porter from Harvard University developed a theory to access a company’s competitive position known as Five Forces to determine external threats in the competitive environment including human capital issues. The human resources management response to these threats should offer current, accurate, human resources strategies designed to address these external environment issues. Through Strategic Human Resources Management human resources professionals develop strategies that align with company strategic goal attainment.
